Juan Duran
Juan Duran is the co-founder of Duralive, a premier sound and DJ company delivering powerful, high-quality experiences for concerts, weddings, club nights, and private events. With over a decade of experience in the music and live production industry, Juan has become a trusted name in the Bay Area scene, known for his precision, professionalism, and ability to bring any event to life.
As the head A/V engineer at Biscuits and Blues, one of San Francisco’s top music venues, he has worked with a long list of Grammy-winning artists and blues legends including Chris Cain, Tony Lindsay, Kid Andersen, Earl Thomas, Mitch Woods, The Boneshakers, and many more. His deep understanding of sound comes not only from the stage but also from the studio—having been mentored by Grammy-winning engineer Michael Rosen, Juan blends technical skill with artistic sensitivity.
Joel Oliva
With over six years of experience in the music industry, Joel has worked in nearly every role—whether behind the mixing console, on stage as an artist, or behind the scenes as a concert promoter. With a degree in audio engineering and music production, he has brought his expertise to some of the Bay Area’s most renowned venues, including The UC Theatre in Berkeley, August Hall in San Francisco, and Biscuits and Blues, a premier jazz club in Union Square. Whether crafting the perfect sound for a live performance or curating the right vibe for an event, Joel is dedicated to delivering an exceptional audio and visual experience as co-founder of Duralive.
